Itinerary

7:00 a.m. –  Departure from Zagreb

10:30 a.m. – You will arrive at one of the oldest and by far the most beautiful wine cellars in this region, located in the center of the vineyard.

We will visit their Vidikovac (Belvedere) nearby, surrounded by millions of grapevines, and a place to take a break and enjoy the vast acres of vineyards, landscapes of the Croatian Danube region and the City of Osijek. The right place to get to know their best wines is the Old Basement. Dug into a hill five centuries ago, this fantastic building hides three floors of long corridors filled with barrels of the finest Slavonian oak behind its heavy doors.

If you wish to take Baranja flavors home, the souvenir shop offers a wide selection of wines, Baranja cured meats and many other Baranja souvenirs.

12:30 1:30 p.m. – We will then head to a farm where you will see their production of real homemade Baranja kulen and cured meat products and taste excellent wine and brandy.

2:00 p.m.  – We go to Batina, a place with the most beautiful view “where the Danube kisses the sky” which will surely leave you breathless. Located along the Danube, it offers a view over Hungary and Vojvodina; there is also a monument to the Battle of Batin, the largest battle in World War II.

2:30 4:30 p.m. – We continue with our gourmet adventure – lunch time.

In the restaurant of a famous winery you will be welcomed by a traditional Baranja lunch and you will have the opportunity to pair their wines with gastronomic delicacies of the region. In this wine cellar, one can surely experience hundreds of years old story of Baranja surduke (gorges).
