Interactive, creative & entertaining way to explore the Istrian cuisine

Istrian cuisine is imbued with the influence of various historical and cultural traditions that have intertwined in the area during the turbulent Istrian past. Wild herbs, fruits and spices used by Istrian cuisine offer us a real wealth of flavors. The Istrian menu often offers homemade Istrian prosciutto and sheep cheese, various handmade pastas, and a large selection of meat and fish dishes.

7:00 am – Departure for Istra


11:00 am – Sightseeing of Pula with a professional guide

Walking through Pula you will feel the spirit of the Romans, Venetians, Franks and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. You will explore numerous architecturally and historically significant buildings and monuments preserved from antiquity.

Your guide will accompany you to the most beautiful stage in the world, one of best-preserved Roman amphitheaters, Pula’s Arena where during the summer many concerts and festivals are performed under the stars. You continue for the discovery walk through Pula’s three-thousand-years of history, evidenced at every step in the old town, visiting the Arch of the Sergii, Temple of Augustus, Hercules Gate and many others.

1:00 pm – Istrian cooking workshop

Put on your apron and roll up your sleeves! Our chef will challenge you to create delicious Istrian food. You will cook 4 meal courses, enjoy socializing, sharing experiences and having a good time.

You will cook:

  • Cold seafood appetizer

  • Handmade Istrian  pasta

  • Cook “sugo” with seasonal ingredients

  • Modern Istrian fish warm appetizer

  • Main course

Once you have mastered the skill of cooking you will test the acquired skill in a culinary competition. We will divide the group into two teams. The task of each team will be preparing 3 meal courses. Your team will have 45 minutes from selecting and preparing food for cooking to serving ready meals. The selected jury will evaluate creativity, decoration and taste!

 6 pm – Departure for Zagreb; Expected arrival time to Zagreb around 10 pm.

• Tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair



·       A moderate amount of walking with some steep parts is involved and long standing on your feet during cooking workshop
